Frequently Asked Questions About Pontoon Boat Rentals
Q: How early should I book a pontoon rental during the summer season?
A: We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance during peak summer months (June through August), especially for weekends and holidays. Availability goes fast!
Q: Are children allowed on the pontoon boats?
A: Absolutely! Pontoon boats are family-friendly, and we provide U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets for all ages. Just let us know the number and sizes of children in your group.
Q: Do I need a boating license to rent a pontoon boat in Idaho?
A: No boating license is required for renters in Idaho. However, drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Q: Where do pontoon rentals depart from?
A: All of our pontoon boat rentals launch from Long Bridge Marina in Sagle, Idaho. We’ll meet you dockside for a brief walkthrough before your departure.
Q: Can I bring food and drinks on board?
A: Yes! You’re welcome to bring snacks, meals, and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note that alcohol is not allowed for any boat operator, and glass containers are discouraged for safety.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the pontoon boats?
A: Yes — we’re dog lovers too! Well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard with a $50 pet fee. Please bring a towel or blanket for them to sit on.
Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my rental?
A: Safety is our top priority. If inclement weather is forecasted, we may cancel or reschedule your reservation at our discretion. You’ll receive a full refund for weather-related cancellations.
Q: How long does a typical pontoon rental last?
A: You can choose from 4-hour, 9-hour, or evening cruise options. Whether you’re planning a quick tour or a full day on the lake, we’ve got you covered.
Q: Are fuel costs included in the rental price?
A: Fuel is not included. We refuel the boat upon return and charge your card on file based on usage.
Q: Can we swim or anchor during the trip?
A: Definitely! Our pontoons are great for swimming and lounging. Anchoring is allowed in safe, designated areas — just ask during your pre-launch walkthrough for local tips.
